Signing up is Easy
When you register as a vendor on FMO you will be given an exclusive Vendor Profile space to showcase your product information, product photos, url links (if any) and any other tidbits about you (customers love to know your story!). Here you will also let customers know if they order from you by phone, an order form or through an online store. Your Vendor Profile is created as a secure space that you can re-visit and edit at any time through the FMO website under the "Vendor Login" tab. If you are new to selling your product online, FMO can walk you through set up or complete the set-up for you. To register your business now, simply click on the Register Now button on the right side of this page*. There you will be guided through a 5-10 minute online sign up where you will create your FMO Vendor Profile. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I do not currently have a business or website set up to sell my product. Do I need that prior to listing on Farmers Market Online?
A: No. The FMO Vendor Profile has been created so that you can use that space to display your product and personal or company information. Following registration customers will be able to contact you at the phone number or email addresses listed on your profile to place their order. If you do have a website in the making, a blog, or other online space you would like to share with potential customers, links can easily be set up on your Vendor Profile.
Q: I see that you are based in Kelowna, BC. Is there any disadvantage to becoming a vendor with Farmers Market Online if I am in another province?
A: No disadvantage at all. Though Farmers Market Online is based in BC, that's only because that's where we live. FMO is a web based nation wide service with no borders when it comes to advocating Canadian vendors. FMO is about growing online sales for vendors country wide, supporting all provinces equally.
Q: I currently sell within my community only. Am I able to list as a vendor if I do not sell across the country?
A: Yes. When you register to be a vendor on FMO you will have the option to check off if you have any sort of shipping limitations. By checking this option your listing will be displayed as a "Local Vendor", indicating that you do not deliver across the country. As a "Local Vendor" your listing will still appear in all category searches and city/town searches, with a note to inform shoppers of your shipping parameters.
